Ember Gifts! Inkandkeypad!

Oh dear Reader 😊 I miss you too!
So it’s been awhile you heard from me right?

me too oh😂 miss myself…

I’ve been writing a lot, yeah…

some in my head, some on my tablet, some on my system and some in my dairy.

I started writing a new full book (COBWEBS) but just at the climax I dropped my pen because the characters and plot were making me emotional 😤

oh! yea… I wrote a short story too (Hammad) but was never released because “the nerdy me” wanted to turn it into a bigger plot but “the emotional me” seems to have an upper hand so I decided to settle their dispute by delaying it, forgive me😤
And yes, I’ve been through with Off Babel (My third book to be released soon)

√°the whole book, edited and ready for release and I promise, it would be out before my birthday 😊 yeah!

It’s been a long wait, so while we await the official cover for Off Babel (not the one presently posted up here, I made this black one myself, I tried baa) I will drop some short stories consecutively.

Secondly, I delayed because I was partially mourning the loss of one of my complete full book I stashed for future purpose on my tablet which was stolen (titled: NOW OR 5YEARS BEFORE?)

Yea…. I felt bad but so lazy to write hundreds of pages all over! 😤 I spent so energy and meditational moments and reading the Bible too oooh on that story but it’s stucked up in my head though… Woo 😆 I will rewrite but now now….

In conclusion I just want you to know this villageboy have a lot of stories down his sleeve (SOUTHERN LAGOS, FINDING DORA, DUSTY PULPIT, few to mention…)

but I’ve been busy learning from great minds, working on other visions, loving Jesus beyond activities yet in return to give you something better and lasting for decades to come!

I love you all!
Stay true to your dreams!

Off Babel-Episode 11

The man in white returned, this time his white was soaked in blood and dripping.

Sunday who was lying weak, looked up but the brightness of light that surrounded the man in white made him bow in fear…

Fear not, I am the one who stands in the midst of the Candlesticks, The Highpriest and advocate with the Father, Christ Jesus the righteous!

Sunday Eganlantinrin, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

In the beginning I was, I am and will be, as I was at your birth. I, The Word named you after the day which I rested, that you may establish my will upon the earth.

You were born with a golden fiery staff instilled in your voice, the same one passed down from the lineage of Judah, emblem of Authority which you were to use to rule and oppress Darkness but you never used it as I desired.

You despised that which I gave you, saw it as little and allow the devil to take it from you. I took you to the place of pruning, the house of your pastor where you’d learn how to use the staff right and made Anu stand by you as your Aaron.

Did I not see Babel aiming at you? Let God be true but every man a liar! Sunday! He that calleth thee is faithful to establish you and keep you from all evil.

And now that you’ve seen and understood the wiles of Babel! Her house which is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. If I bring you off Babel! What would you do for me in Return? The Light blazed more!

Sunday was speechless… he couldn’t look up, then he heard the voice of wisdom loud in his ears and he reiterated what he heard… I’LL BE THE CANDLE TO TAKE MANY OFF BABEL, IF YOU GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE.

Episode 9

The first candle appeared right before them burning strenuously. Sunday was joyful, all of a sudden the once burning candle went off… he became sorrowful.

This candle is your Father, Mr Eganlantinrin. He was always praying for you daily, even at work his candle was always burning until you became rich and famous he found no reason to pray. He was enjoying the comfort, he did not only quit his job but his prayers for you Sunday.

I can’t blame him, I caused it…

Sunday, men ought always to pray and not faint. We have no excuse for not performing our Heavenly assigned duty. Many relaxing as such as set many on the path of destruction. Don’t be sorrowful as there as still two candles left, let’s walk…

As they walked on, the second candle appeared before them also burning strenuously as the first one. Sunday felt relieved but all of a the light started going off, then there was a thunder and lightning, the light came back on but did not last for long it went off totally then melted on its own…

Sunday sobbed profusely… But why Lord, why?

Sunday, that is your Pastor, whom you lived with in the city.

I didn’t listen to him, he was angry with me, he warned me, when I didn’t listen to him, he disowned me, didn’t collect a dime from me and cut ties from me and my family. I caused it, I caused it.

Hmmmn… Sunday, he never stopped praying for you since you left for school, when Anu reported to him your decision, he got angry.

Summoned you but things didn’t go well, as he poured out his anger without listening to you and after you left that evening.

The HolySpirit ministered unto him to pray for you but his anger wouldn’t make him to.

He complained tirelessly of how much he spent on you, prayed for you and fathered yet you repayed him with rebellion and shame then he quoted Proverbs chapter 15 verses 10 halfly but this is the full verse;

Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

They were blindfolded, sore scared. They were shivering like chickens in the wind
The atmosphere was strange, fiery and reeked with evil.

They couldn’t tell what went wrong as the last thing they could tell was that, they were chilling at the party on the Island after the music awards ceremony. Twenty of them, bound and blindfolded in the dark room.

They were more of a robot, as their souls were present without their bodies…

In awhile, it all got hotter…

Yes! it was the raging of the Dark Lord…

My blind Servants!!!

What have you done?

You think I made all this available at your finger tips – Fame, irresistible sounds, influence, lyrics and wealth just to release this kind of music?
I stole from the sleeping saints to give to you and yet you repay me this way?

Your songs are not soul damaging enough!

Take them out of my sight!

° °. °. °. °

Sunday could not hide his shock and in his befuddlement, he said… Is there… still… hope… for… me?

Hmmmn… let’s see, there are candlesticks before the throne ignited for you, if it’s not out, sure there’s hope!

Sunday heaves a sigh of relief, hoping for the best… but what does this candles represent, my life line?

Right question, it’s not your lifeline Sunday, for a man can only live on earth once, although there are some special cases but this candles represent those Saints on earth standing in gap, interceding on your behalf.

Sunday remembered Anu instantly.

Your thoughts are right, she’s one of them but let’s go check…

More reason why God’s children are urged to see, not with their very eyes but with the eyes of the Spirit.

For it is written in the scriptures in Proverbs chapter 2 verses 18 and 19; For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead. None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.

They’ve been trying to attack you Sunday, since the day you were sent from Heaven to the family of Eganlantinrin.

You were sent to that deep village to be preserved from the eyes of the Vultures.

Anu was your sycamore tree to point you to the path of salvation yet you allowed wealth and influence lead you to the path of destruction, only if you knew who you’d become.

I’ve been walking with you since you were given birth to and I never stopped, trying to make you see the king you were sent to be, exposing Babylon and her Dark Lord.

Dark Lord?? I’ve heard of that name once… I can’t remember but it must be during or after that African Awards night, Mr Laab had told us we would be going for another party. That was the last thing I remember of that night, I thought it was just a dream…

Oh you mean Baal??

Haaa! so Laab is Baal? I freely walked into the den of lies and deceit.

Now you’re following… and their Dark Lord, the Father of lies, there’s no truth in him.

They knew who you were from the beginning and have been trying to get you, that was why Jezzy – the moon princess as you know her to be, Jezebel! She’s an high priestess, a sorcerer and enemy of everything righteous… the man in white shakes his head… called you her Prize! You remember??

Sunday remained speechless…

Let me show you what happened that day, that seems to be locked up in your subconscious as a dream!

Where am I? What happened?

Hmmm… here you are Sunday! In the middle of Doom and Rest. It’s been a long time, Sunday. I’ve been trying to reach out to you in many ways but you wouldn’t listen.

Now you’re here and you know where it all ends right…?

Sunday already drowning in his tears kept pleading, please forgive me, give me another chance, I’m sorry Jesus. I didn’t know how I ended up in Baby Lion Empire and Anu warned me….

she warned me but Jessy’s kindness was too convincing…

You mean Babel???

No, Baby Lion Empire Sir

Oh, would the one who created the heaven and the earth not be aware of what goes on around it now??

Babel!!

Yes, you were deceived

Babel – The Belly of Darkness, force of everything that is evil and subtil.

Swallowing souls through Lust of the eyes, Lust of the flesh and Pride of Life.

Have you not read in the Scriptures, 1st John chapter 2 verses 16; For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

That is the Blueprint of Babel, All you can hear (Music) All you can See (Images, Video), that’s one of their greatest channel.

Even politics, fashion, every system you’d find them lurking around.

They feed on greediness of men, a desire for more, to be at the peak of the mountains.

So it was offered to the Son of Man, as it is written in Matthew chapter 4 verses 8; Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them.

But he never bowed Sunday! Because he was not ignorant of the wiles of Babel.

Everywhere was golden, Sunday could no longer here Anu’s voice as usual nor see anything wrong in joining them so far, he was lost in the moment as they walked into the board room of 24members.

The signing begins

Just one more thing boy, in the official world we don’t really use stamp we use blood…

Blood!!!

Oh, c’mon don’t be frightened, we are not occultic. Just a thumbprint, that’s all.

The blood is taken for medical reasons, in case of emergency, you dig…

Oh, okay Sir. That’s very thoughtful and kind sir.

His thumb was punctured to seal the contract and the rest of the blood taken in a vial.

Then the journey began…

Oluwa gimme de money oh’

without this, life could be boring oh

SunPrince music became an household music.

“Oh brother! thank you so much

Kai, we were so blessed, we can’t repay you Sir

only Jesus oh, God bless you!”

That was the end of conversation as the pastor turned back, entered his car with his family and left the crew standing right in front of the Church.

Hmmmmn… The very words that haunted, shattered and scattered them!

Are they kidding me!!! Donald voiced out….. After 2hours ministration and that 45minutes extra! Thank you, we can’t repay you! (mimicking the pastor with gestures) Do they even know where we are coming from Sunday! Because we are young or what!

Guys, please relax … Anu interrupted

Relax ke! Funto responded… Do you know what you’re talking about Anu…

oh so the mouth of the ox we muzzle must not eat, that’s not even my problem… I know I’m good to go! But what about the 15,000 we had to borrow for transport and how will Donald and Sunday survived, both of us can still make do but where will they start from?

This is trash, this here… I’m done! Donald screamed

Bro… Bro… Please don’t do this… Sunday spoke up softly.

Don’t do what Sunday, I should trek back on a 5hours journey to school?
Goodbye! Donald walks away…

Where are you now going, where would you go? Anu queried as Donald walked away angrily!

Where I should have gone long time ago, bye! Don’t worry about me…

Guys, I’m sorry but I need to leave too… I just pity you Sunday but the money with me now can only take me to my cousin’s house and I can’t take you guys there, Jesus will come through for you ehn

Our redeemer liveth, abiKiya hakuri Sir… Turrrh, sai anjuma (Hausa translated: Sorry Sir… uhmmn! Good bye) She waved at them and left.

Sunday, what do we do… she looked at Sunday who was already teary and shattered.

I had high hopes for this program and it was Sister Dupe that linked us to this church.

Knowing its Lagos, I was sure they would come through. I had planned to pay my house rent, give you guys a share, and at least still have something to spend through the month.

Now I can’t even pay for my transport… his phone rang.

Wait, this is the Jessy I was talking about last week ooh… she’s calling.

Who’s this Jessy? I’ve not met her and how come it’s only you that I’ve seen her and you say she’s interested in your music?

Hold on, let me hear what she has to say again… told her I’ll think about it …

Hello Miss Jessy

Hello Sunday…. Haba, you can just call me J

Whatsup, where are you?? I’ve been to your place twice today and it’s unlike you not to be home by now… just checking on you… hope no problem?

Without knowing how, in few minutes, Sunday had narrated every single predicament he was facing. Even the ones Anu were not aware of as she stood there agape with wonder. In about 25minutes they were done talking after sharing his account number with her and he dropped the call.

What just happened right now Sunday?

Uhmmn! I… spoke… his phone beeped…

Jesus! 50,000… Anu she sent me 50,000… I knew in my spirit that she was an angel, the first time I met her!

Sun…day! in your spirit!haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Are you not happy??

I’m worried Sunday! I’m worried…. we thank God for the provision but before you go ahead saying yes to whatever offer, we will pray for 3days to confirm that your spirit conviction ooooh!

Hello Sir… are you listening to me?

But what is the harm there? Do we have to fast! Remember we were stranded and the Lord came through for us and now we have to fast through this? Even a blind man can tell that this is a confirmation from God.

Jezzy is just a connoisseur in music and her Dad is a big shot, you know…

Turrhhhh… thank God we are not blind oooh,
We will go home by God’s grace and we will still observe that fast except you want me to leave too…

Haa! Nooooo… It’s not up to that naa. Okay, we will fast… Just 3days baa? Thank you Anu. God bless you .

Hmmm… Spiritual Uncle! She laughed.

Mr connoisseur, na English den go still use steal you commot, no wahala! (pidgin – your diction could announce you more, worry less!)

Ahn ahn… You want to start teasing me now ni? Let’s go ooo! Sunday dragged her hands and they laughed as they walked to the park.

Off Babel – Episode 3

Episode 3

School was another world entirely to Sunday, as long as he was singing, he was favoured.

There in school, Accountancy department he met with three others who became his close friends and crew… Donald, Anu and Funto.

They all sing too but not as good as Sunday, the boy was talented and obviously has the hand of God upon his life.

Donald is a multi-instrumentalist, and that has been his means of upkeep, which he also used in paying his bills as he was an orphan living with his old grandparents who couldn’t do much for him. Though he had an uncle in Lagos, willing to help him but Donald found out He was into shady acts, fraudulence and wouldn’t accept his offer for fear of death or imprisonment. So, he had to learn to survive on his own…

Anu, on the other hand was born in an average family, enough to see her through school but not enough for upkeep. Her parents were deacons, given to prayers which helped Anu to grow in faith and intimacy with the HolySpirit. Sometimes, she gets carried away by anxieties but since she joined Sunday’s crew, that reduced.

Funto’s mother is a banker and she’s her only parent as their father left them for another woman. She joined Sunday’s crew just as an excuse not to concentrate on her studies as she was not interested in schooling. She loved singing but keen in fashion designing.

They started singing primarily for funds and secondarily because everyone loved Sunday and were always calling for him to sing, including lecturers

– – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

Things on the other hand got very tough for Sunday as Pastor Oloruntobi’s wife died, the only one who worked in the family. It was a painful and tragic period for Sunday as he was closer to her and they had no child other than him.

Sunday had to put more effort in his going out to sing and totally made his focus monetary but Anu who was closer to him kept encouraging him not to give up.

Anu would share all that she had with Sunday just to keep him focus on his studies and spiritual life but Sunday was not completely devoted as he should since he met Jessy.

Jessy was a Mass Communication student living in the same area as Sunday but was never for once seen in the school attending lectures or living like a student or someone who was interested in school. Only Sunday knew her as Anu had never seen her once.

The last straw that broke the camel’s back was when the crew was invited at a program in Lagos. they had gathered all the money they had together with the hope that after the program, they would have enough for transport, returning loans and at least stipends to carry them through the month. With this high hopes, they went to Lagos.
